the denton birthday boys

last saturday melinda, john, jon & bjorn came for a visit. melinda brought all the goods for a denton march & april boys birthday party. it was non-stop rain outside, so we stayed in with the basketball game on and watched the kids play. bjorn got a new train set, so we had fun playing with that, then enjoyed a yummy dinner and homemade german chocolate cake.

the funny joke of the day was: tyler and jon both opened their cards from their mom and they each said, "happy 30th!" and "happy 28th!"...except jon turns 31 in a few weeks and tyler turned 29 in march. we had a good laugh (she was laughing too!), and melinda was still proud of the fact that at least she knew they are 2 years apart. i guess mothering really takes a toll on the brain!
